I received a tip a moment ago from a friend at the Nokia Flagship stores have just received stock of the E63 NAM. The Chicago store is confirmed to have the Blue model in stock, and expects to receive shipments of the Red model very soon. Pricing is set at $279.99 before tax, which is dang good for a 3G QWERTY S60-powered smartphone, if you ask me. I had a chance to play with the Nokia E63 back in December at Nokia World, and while it’s not as sexy as the E71, it definitely felt great in my hand, and has some convenient ‘extras’, such as the ability to use the LED flash as a flashlight, simply by holding down the spacebar.
The Nokia E63 features WiFi, quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band 3G (850/1900MHz), though it does not support HSDPA, nor does it have a built-in GPS receiver. The camera is a 2 megapixel shooter, and the phone features a standard 3.5mm audio port, as well.
I’m told that the Chicago Flagship store also has the Nokia BH-100 on sale for $19.99, while supplies last, though I’ve not been able to confirm this with the New York location. If you’re in Chicago or New York, you should definitely swing by the store to check it out.
