The Nokia Messaging team has brought news that a new version of the Nokia Messaging (previously called Nokia Email) is available from the email.Nokia.com website. This new version includes a few miscellaneous bugfixes, but also brings the Access Point selection feature back to the client, so that you can easily specify which access point the application should use to connect.
The update also includes a new notification system for Yahoo! mail users. If you use Yahoo! mail on Nokia Messaging, you’ll need to save your credentials to upgrade your Yahoo Mail accounts so you continue to receive email. Open the Inbox for the Yahoo email address, and select Back. Select Settings on the launcher page. Open the Settings for the Yahoo address. Type the password for this email address in the Password field and Select Back and you’re ready to go.
Also noted is that the recently announced E75 and E55 will be the first phones to include a new version of Nokia Email that supports HTML email. The team specifies that older devices will be able to get this update soon, as well. To get the updated version, simply logon at email.Nokia.com and choose the ‘Upgrade’ button towards the bottom right. Hopefully, the Nokia Messaging team will be able to push these updates out automatically, in the future.
