I got an anonymous tip that the Nokia Flagship stores expect to have received the initial shipments of US 3G Nokia 5800 XpressMusics tomorrow afternoon, and will be ready to sell them to you, 1 day ahead of schedule. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic NAM features that rockin 3.2″ nHD (640×360 pixels) resolution touchscreen display, WiFi, quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band 3G (850/1900MHz) for either AT&T’s high-speed network, or Rogers, if you’re up in Canada.
The phone also sports a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, and the latest firmware (for the Euro variant, anyways) supports geotagging, which uses the built-in GPS receiver to automatically tag photos with location information. The GPS receiver can also be used for navigation thanks to the included Nokia Maps application.
The Nokia Flagship stores will have the NAM variant of the 5800 XpressMusic priced at US$399, which is rather disappointing, considering the Euro variant is also available for $350. Either way, they’ve got a fresh stock of them, so if touch is your thing, you’d better head up there, or give them a call. It won’t be available until Wednesday afternoon, though.
Also, be sure to tell them Symbian-Guru sent you, and they’ll include a free stand. (Just kidding, that’s part of the normal package).
