It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the Zeemote JS1, which is a small handheld Bluetooth gaming joystick that wirelessly connects to your phone, for a way better gaming experience. The JS1 uses the ZeeKey application to connect to Nokia’s S60-powered smartphones, which allows it to control the whole phone, so it’s also great for slideshow presentations or anything else you might use your phone for.
I got my hands on a Zeemote JS1 late last year at the Nokia World event, and my biggest question was, when can I just buy one, without having to get it bundled with a phone? Many of our readers wanted to know the same thing, and today, at the 2009 Mobile World Congress, Zeemote has announced that it will begin offering the Zeemote JS1 in an individual pack, in 3 months! Pricing is set at 39.99GBP (US$57), which is a bit steep, though hopefully there will be some games included, perhaps even N-Gage vouchers, to add a bit of value.
