Google and YouTube seem to be on a roll now. After adding support for Flash Lite in their mobile interface a few days ago, they have also released a new native mobile application for S60 that looks really slick, and acts like that.
In order to download the new application, you have to go to http://www.youtube.com on your phone’s browser and look for the “Download the YouTube application” link. We have received notice that some countries aren’t able to see this link, so I went ahead and looked for the installation file in my E71 and got it for you if you’re unable to download from the site. Here is the direct link to the .sisx.
The application by itself is really nice, it allows you to easily search for videos, check the most rated, most recent and most viewed ones, then plays them all instantly in fullscreen. It has some nifty transitions which add to the overall experience. Here is a short video demonstration that shows you how it works.
