Nokia just updated the firmware for the 5800 XpressMusic NAM and the E71 Euro (with the NAM to follow soon, presumably), but they also snuck in a new firmware for the less popular E66. The E66 is a slider with a standard numeric keypad, which we had the chance to review. Firmware v210.21.007 for the Nokia E66 Euro is now available through NSU, though remember, there is no UDP (User Data Preservation), so you’ll want to make sure and backup any critical information before you apply the update.
If you have an E66 NAM, I had no doubts you’ll be able to get this new firmware, too, within a few days. We’ll report back when we’ve confirmed that. In the meantime, you can download Nokia Software Update here.
