Details on Nokia World 2009 have been announced, and interestingly enough, it’s taking place 3 months earlier than normal, on September 2-3 2009. The locale this time is Stuttgart, Germany, and I have to say, I rather like that Nokia chooses different places throughout Europe for its annual event, rather than the same old place. It adds a bit of fun to the event, for sure.
At Nokia World 2008, which only took place a few months ago in Barcelona, Spain, in December, Nokia unveiled the N97, along with Maps 3.0 and the renamed Nokia Messaging. This year, however, is anyone’s guess. I do think it’s rather interesting that we see the event taking place so much earlier, and I’m anxious to find out why.
I’ve added Nokia World 2009 to the Symbian-Guru Events Calendar, as well, and will update the entry with any details that come up later. Either Dotsisx or I will be there to cover the event, for sure, and we look forward to discovering Nokia’s plans. The themes this year are Discover, Play, Share, and Organize, which certainly sounds promising.
