While we wait for new exciting mobile software to keep rolling out from Beta Labs, Nokia’s PC applications have stood still for a while. I’ve been using the Vanilla PC Suite since it’s early releases and stuck to it through good and bad times, switching it out only briefly to test the N-series PC Suite and the OVI Suite. Both of these alternatives, in my opinion, are bad – being heavy on pc resources and crashing often, displaying those cryptic error messages.
Long did I think that they had dropped or wouldn’t update the Vanilla version of PC Suite anymore, until recently. To my surprise a new version (7.1.26.0) have popped up and not much new can be said about this version except that it displays “stability fixes”. Well at least stability is good, so head over You can head over to Nokia’s website for the latest update of this software or if you already have it installed you can select “web” and then “Check for latest updates and addons”.
For those of you who don’t know what this software does it allows you to sync your contacts between your computer and your handset. The Vanilla version in addition to this allows you to call, read and send sms to a person while your phone is connected to your pc with its Communication Centre.
