Wow, the Nokia N97 is sure to be this summer’s hottest smartphone, at least as far as we’re concerned, and there’s been a wave of news recently. Rather than split it up into 4-5 posts, we thought we’d do a quick roundup, so that you can get all the information you need, right in one place. We’re not real sure when this smartphone will be available, honestly. Nokia has said it will launch in June, and The Nokia Blog seems to believe the NAM variant will be available shortly after June 2nd, which is clearly a good sign.
There are a handful of places where you can pre-order this powerful smartphone. First up is Amazon, with the cheapest yet, at $604.99 for the NAM variant in white or black. Nokia is also offering a pre-order for both the black and white variants, though they’re charging a bit more, at $699.99.
If you’re one of our many readers in India, I’ve got great news – you can actually have Nokia India bring an N97 to your home or office, so that you can have a quick test drive before you place your order. If you’re still not sure about this particular phone, Mobile-Review.com has posted their full review, in Russian, complete with sample photos of the device, taken by the device, and a few videos taken by the device, as well. Definitely some gems in there. If you do like it, Vaibhav from The Symbian Blog has pulled out the full set of ringtones from the N97, and made them available for you to download. This way, whatever phone you’re using now can already sound like the N97!
