Our friends at SkyFire have hit a major milestone, finally emerging from beta and releasing v1.0 of their sweet little web browser. This new version is available today, and brings a host of new improvements, including the ability to interact with the thumbnail shown while the site is loading, as well as enhancements to make the overall startup of the browser work much quicker. You can also now more easily share links with your various social networks, thanks to a new ‘Share This’ button below each RSS story in the RSS reader.
SkyFire is a free browser that uses server-side processing to offer a faster, more robust browsing experience. Because a remote server is doing the work, SkyFire is able to support web technologies that normally aren’t supported on your mobile platform, such as advanced Flash and Silverlight. You can watch videos on Hulu through the SkyFire browser, for an example.
Don’t forget, also, that Symbian-Guru is featured in the Bookmark section of SkyFire, so you can quickly access our site immediately after installing the browser! You can download the latest version of SkyFire here.
