In January of this year, there was not a single option for Twitter on your Symbian-powered smartphone, save for a few mobile-friendly websites, and of course SMS. However, when it rains, it pours, and we’re now swamped with a handful of great options for Twitter on your Symbian-powered smartphone. It’s tough to make a decision as to which is the best, so we figured we’d test them all for you, and put together this handy guide.
Below you’ll find three tables – one for native applications, one for java/widgets, and one for mobile websites/webapps. We’ve compared the features, and you’ll also find links to download or try the various options. These were all tested on my Nokia N79, as well as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, where possible. Share this page with your friends – we’ll keep it updated as new versions roll out, so that it’s always accurate.
Below are the 4 native Symbian applications that we’re aware of.
