As mentioned previously, I’ve recently rediscovered N-Gage, and am pleasantly surprised at how addicting it is, if you can get past the setup and backup woes. While there are some awesome games available, including Creatures of the Deep, Reset Generation, and Crash Bandicoot racing, there are still quite a few that I would like to see available through Nokia’s N-Gage service.
For starters, since I’ve been playing so much Creatures of the Deep, and because I’m a little bit hick, I’ve realized how awesome a hunting game would be. The gameplay should be similar to Creatures of the Deep – you drive around the map on your 4-wheeler, visit the lodge to show off your trophies and get new gear, etc. They could even do different destinations with different game – grizzly bears, deer, lions, etc. There’s really no limit. There are already several hunting games for phones, so it’s been done before.

Next up is a rare one, and that’s Intelligent Qube, which came out on the Playstation a long time ago. It’s also called Kurushi in Japan, and it’s a puzzle game with a bunch of cubes. I think this would do great on N-Gage because it’s really nice, but simple, with simple controls (just the d-pad and 2 action buttons are needed). However, it’s incredibly tricky, and you can easily play for hours without realizing it. Here’s a video of the game in action:

Another one that I’ve requested before is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. This was one of the original N-Gage games, and I’m surprised it’s not out yet for the new N-Gage platform. This one could really benefit from the online aspect of N-Gage by allowing you to create and share new skate parks, just like the console versions. Perhaps either an on-device editor, or even a web-based area that you access from your computer, and can then share via mobile.
Last, I’d like to see some sort of flight simulator or other flying game – perhaps something more serious, where you have to perform various aeronautical feats or complete ‘missions’, or something more like SkyForce, where you just shoot stuff. Both would be fun to play, for sure.
What games would you like to see on N-Gage that don’t already exist?
