Quickly following the N97 NAM, Nokia has started shipping the Nokia N86 8MP. This beast of a slider was somewhat secretly announced in February at the Mobile World Congress, and features a 2.6-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) resolution AM OLED display, along with its namesake, an 8 megapixel camera on the back. It also has an active kickstand, which is quite cool.
The Nokia N86 8MP is priced at 375 EUR (US$479) straight from Nokia, though it’s not quite available through the U.S. Flagship stores. The version which is shipping is the Euro variant, which features quad-band GSM support, as well as tri-band 3G (900/1900/2100MHz). This version *will* work on AT&T’s 3G network throughout most of the U.S., but lacks the 850MHz 3G frequency that AT&T uses in some places.
