Many of you have asked about my statement that the N97 produces better sound than the 5800 XpressMusic, specifically when listening to music through the built-in stereo speakers. As promised, I’ve put together a video that will hopefully give a bit more proof behind my statements. For the video, I recorded it using my Nokia N79, with the inline remote connected, to act as a wired microphone.
I positioned this microphone directly between the two phones, so that the speakers were equal distance away from the microphone. I also loaded up the exact same songs on both phones, 3 examples. If you’re wondering, the songs are 21 Guns by Green Day, Uncle Harry by The Living End, and $50 and a Flask of Crown by Bleu Edmondson. I realize the video quality isn’t the best, but the audio is all that really matters. Here’s the video:
