Following the short recent announcements of Nokia N-theatre, Nokia OVI Store and Sony Ericssons Play Now Arena, Samsung has found themselves in the competition for serving media and movies for their customers.
Not only are they making their movie service available for their handsets like the Samsung i8910 OmniaHD, which makes a good device for movie watching, but you also get a copy of the movie on your laptop as well. Transferring a movie is done by side-loading the movies via Windows Media Player. A further look on the service, DRM is implemented with the restriction that a movie license will expire 24 hours after you have opened the movie file or up to 30 days if you haven’t opened the file.
Prices for purchase ranges from £7.99 to £13.99 and for rent £2.49 to £3.99. Movies that are available are from different genres and they even got classics like the “Wizard From Oz” from 1939. However a search on “My Fair Lady” didn’t reveal any results unluckily. You can check out their movie offer at this link.
