Despite the details being published back in February when the Nokia N86 8MP was announced, Nokia, today, officially confirmed that the Nokia N86 8MP NAM will be coming within weeks to the Nokia Flagship Stores, and most likely will also be available through Amazon.com and other retailers online. Nokia’s direct pricing is pinned at US$558, before taxes and subsidies, which means that it should debut around $500 even on Amazon and Dell’s websites.
The Nokia N86 8MP features the same design cues as the N85 – indeed, the first prototypes were labeled the N85 8MP, and features – you guessed it – an 8 megapixel camera, along with a host of other fun stuff, including tri-band 3G (850/1900/2100MHz) support for AT&T’s 3G network in the U.S. and Rogers’ 3G network in Canada. I’m pretty well convinced this will be the phone to replace my trusty N79.
