    I had the Nokia e90 for two years now and have the Touch Pro 2 since yesterday. The biggest disappointment about the n97 was for me the bad keyboard and that the OS felt like the one of my two years old phone, no advantage at all. I am very happy with the TP2. It is very responsive, has a great interface and keyboard. I really like the integration of the Touchflow interface from HTC. Especially the contacts features that show the recent SMS, e-mails and calling history. This is quite handy. Also nice is the handsfree feature and the good speaker. Oh also a small feature but really useful and usable is the zoom bar on the bottom of the screen. As I often use the (great) browser this is probably the feature I use most often. No need for multitouch with this great idea. The camera is similar to the one of my e90, maybe a bit worse, but that is ok as long as it has autofocus as I take often pictures of notes or books/magazines.

    The big, bright and high res screen is beautiful. Also there is a lot of good software available. What HTC installs is already very useful and the Opera 9.5 browser is very reliable and fast. So far the additional software (freeware) I would recommend: Skype 3 (inkl. file transfer, already used, works great), PockeTwit (very good twitter client), Facebook (app by microsoft), Nimbuzz (multi IM messenger), Evernote (cloud service notes app), Adobe Reader LE 2.5 (pdf reader, much faster than the s60 version), YouTube (app by HTC i suppose, very fast, good img quality), Microsoft Recite (voice memo app with voice search function, works good!).

    good review. just thought that when the n97 was graded low it was very low compared to htc’s low points.
    no mention of the n97′s 32gb mass storage, or 16:9 video….
    certain points were omitted…which are also massive features.
    i agree with the video playback but what about smartmovie? (and i think coreplayer for v3 also works)
    still overall it was a very informative and funny video.

    In general I think the review was quite right as the speakerphone function of the HTC Touch Pro 2 is much better than the N97.
    N97 being a N-series handset and not support m4v files, which the N95 and N82 can handle is a bit distrastrous in my opinion which lead me to buy SmartMovie.

    Regarding Coreplayer they are working on a version for S60v5 and the version for 5800 won’t have 3d acceleration according to the Coreplayer Forums.

    @roberth

    Coreplayer for v3 don’t work at all for the N97.
    There is rumored that there is a modified version out there which makes it work. (It’s mentioned at the Official Coreplayer Forum)
    However I haven’t been able to find it.

    SmartMovie does work quite nicely but has limitation when it comes to what formats it can convert from. An example being .mkv video files.
    I therefore usually have to convert videos two times one to another format and then use SmartMovie Converter to make the file size smaller.
