Nokia has released an update to the beta of its Ovi Suite 2.0, over at the Nokia Beta Labs. The new version should be offered to you the next time you launch the existing beta, and includes a host of bug fixes, as well as new localization options. There are quite a few new features in this version, as well as a direct link to the Nokia Beta Labs support forums, so that you can easily report any bugs that you find while testing this application.
New features include :
- Music tracks can now be removed from Nokia Ovi Suite without them being deleted from the file system.
- Music sync related fixes. When syncing all music to device, the tracks which already exist in device are automatically ignored. This improves performance.
- Manual copying photos from a device to Nokia Ovi Suite works now.
- Many syncing related bug fixes.
- Map deletion related crash fixed.
- Improvements in contact editing and saving.
- We added links to Nokia Betalabs Nokia Ovi Suite page and discussion forum into Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 home view, so you can conveniently go reporting your issues into Nokia Betalabs.
Keep in mind that this software is beta, which means that they know it has bugs and other issues, and that it’s a work in progress. If you are not willing to tolerate bugs, and report them back to Nokia to help them fix them, then we recommend that you install the normal Ovi Suite, which you can download here.
