We introduced you to SpbTV a few months ago, and today we’re pumped to tell you about a new update, which brings this streaming video application up to v1.1. The update is free for those of you who purchased the application, and is available through the Symbian-Guru Store. There is also a free trial available, if you’ve not checked it out before.
The new version, most importantly, supports TV-out, which means you can use SpbTV on your phone as a portable TV application – very cool. The update also adds some low-quality channels, so if you’re stuck on an EDGE or poor 3G connection, you can still enjoy SpbTV’s streaming features. There are also a number of other small bugfixes and whatnot, as well.

You can read our original coverage of SpbTV here, or purchase it from the Symbian-Guru Store, which supports the site. Unlike unnamed others, our store allows you to re-download the .sis file for any application you’ve purchased, as many times as you wish.
