Feature Request : Ability to switch the actual battery bar to a %age representation. This specially because i use Handy Shell and i cant view it in the standby plugin.

One feature (or set thereof) that can be added would be actions at certain point: for example, turn off bluetooth at x%, turn off WLAN scanning at x%, lower display brightness at x% and so on.

i think it would be great if it had an alarm that lets you know when you have like 10 minutes of battery life left

A nice feature would be some power management– should the battery level drop below a user-set percentage, turn wi-fi on or off, change brightness, etc. I think it would be a great unified app for not only reporting, but management as well.

The point is, switching to it just to view the battery is pointless. It’s the same as you would have to run a clock application to view time.

It would be neat if it somehow summarized your activity and phone usage so you get an idea of what you did that made your battery last however long it did. for example, how long you talked on the phone, had wi-fi on, used a particular app and so on.

Power management options similar to laptop battery options will make sense to have such applications. With this a user can configure as per his needs. Not sure how Symbian OS can support this application to develop such features.

Would love to have an updated version which would display a list(talk time, web on 3G, web on edge, web on wifi, music over earphones) and estimate how more time we can do each of these tasks with the current remaining battery.

Usage statistic with graphs so i can keep track of my usage during the day and make a weely log of something.

The voice speaking the battery energy level for the blind user.

An email when the battery is getting low would be nice, so even if I’m not by my phone I know it needs a charging.

I am trying out the application right now and I really love it. I have a small problem as the homescreen plugin does not work on my E71. Anyway it is still very usefull.

From what I understand the program keeps track of battery usage and shows average values for time remaining based on some statistics. I would like to be able to see the power drain over time in a graph for the last 24h. Also daily average usage history.

Feature Proposal: It would be great it it could track the highest power draw application. Then if I install a new program and notice that my battery life really starts to take a nosedive I’d know right away what was the cause. I know this can be tracked using the Nokia Profiler, but if the tracking were automated (and not as detailed) it could be helpful.

It would be great if remaining time altered betweeen remaining standby time and remainnig talk time in the standby plugin.

Remaining talk time shouldnt be too hard to calculate, just use the average drain during calls, that would over time auto adjust to the users average call style – distance from tower are a important factor during calls….

I think in future, the app should show what is the best charging pattern to maximize the lifetime of the battery and also, what is the most efficient charge time (charge 20mins gets you 80% of life, maybe after that I decide to unplug)

Would be cool if the app could display a warning if i have a heavy power consuming app running in the background. Even better if i could blacklist or whitelist apps for that. For example if i have a mail app open in the background and it consumes power a lot, i could whitelist it to not get the alert. Though best would be if non-whitelist apps would be closed automatically after a specified time. Would be really helpful as i often run into the problem having 5 apps open that i dont want to be running. And THAT is useless power consumption.

SOUNDS like a killer application, though it still shows ‘Calculation in progress’ after half a day.
i want GRAPHS. Energy Profiler was too complicated for most. there should be a middle path.

Nice app..Here’s what could change in the coming versions…
1. Would be gr8 to see battery life stats.. As in laptop battery care programs show u the orginal designed charge capacity, the present charge capacity and then based on the difference calculates the wear of a battery.. It’s really imp to statistically calculate when a battery needs replacement and the feature shouldn’t b too hard to implement..

2. Power usage stats.. Extrapolated since last 24hours, last restart, last full charge etc.. Would b gr8 to find out power draining applications.

3. A full discharge aid would be appreciated.. One that helps to quickly fully discharge the battery..

Also make an option to automatically save/export the data to something like CSV files for each charge or discharge cycle. This way, people who want more graphs can make them themselves, or if they want more accurate longer term graphs they could do that as well.

I think the ability to second-guess when I tend to charge the phone (or even input the times manually) and for the phone/app to warn me (visually or sonically or even via email/sms) if it doesn’t predict I will reach the next charging time going by current usage would be very useful!

Secondly i will also want this application to be timer based. As u know that afterall its an application and is bound to consume battery itself. So,if i set the timer that i don’t want to see the status of my battery for a certain no. of hours at night, it should turn off and on by itself similar to profile scheduler. I also want the application to show the average battery usage for different purpose. For example, what amount of battery was consumed by calls, what amount by 3G, what amount by games. It is a good thing if it shows battery status, Just like nokia E71 stand by mode clock, while pressing center button. Anyway it seems to be a very good app

Be aware that the current version will not show the plugin on your home screen if your phone is an E71.

This seems good,but wont it conflict with Battery Extender. I wish there was a way for you to compare battery life with other users having the same phone.

Nice useful app. Like others, I wish it had the alarm option for a %age of life. Been using it on my E75 for 2 days now, and unfortunately, it really highlights the poor performance of the battery on this phone. Predicts about 13 hours so far and really, only get about 13 hours. It’s accurate and bears bad news! But, I do like the app.

Users can then make more intelligent decisions about what to run or shut down to conserve battery power. Other graphs maybe show power consumption over time – to see when you use most power (possibly with a log of what apps were open to show to what you were using the phone for at the time)

Added to the above! – If you could close the apps directly from the iOn Battery Timer app that would be even better – I realise this get into task manager areas (where memory usage etc could be included as well) but there is significant overlap in functional areas so would be good!

A good option will be a graphic wallpaper displaiyng for 6 or 7 seconds to show large how much calls you can do before drain.

The Ion BatteryTimer can be use/replace the scrensaver for N95, n95 8gb, like pic battery charging showed above.

i think if this works out it’ll be a life saver specially for pple like hu usually tend to forget that we NEED to recharge every now and then :p…neways..looking forward to the S60 5th generation ones to come out.

Option to see time since and of last recharge. Better will be a log view.

Make use of nokias built in divices like, voice alert warnings, or sensor shake to hear power level,or phone left on program that uses to much power alert close program.

This is a great application, though, the Power Saver doesn’t seem to be working properly on my N85. It appears for a brief second then disappears into darkness, then seems to pop up again randomly for like another brief second and there it goes again. It just keeps doing this rather than staying on the screen. Has anyone else tried this on their N85? Or at least know how to fix this?

utluna… my N95-1 showed remaining time after 2 hours… do not reset or charge battery… let it drop two bars :)

download newest version, gives 9 day trail regardless of how long u used initial trail, and it begins showing remaining time after dropping two bars. they promise to have screensaver fixed for n85 with next version. like it alot
