Stating that it’s small is a fact, not intended to be mocking. I think it’s ugly because the front of the phone is apparently unsure of whether it should be used in portrait or landscape, and just looks silly.

I am curious as if the surge will have some of the problems/restrictions that the E71x has.

Ugly yes. But still this shows the relationship beetween Nokia and Rogers Wireless just keeps on getting better and better.

Rogers has a monopoly (for now) on GSM in Canada, and apparently they live in a world 5 years ago where 3-year contracts for your first born plus an arm+leg are still the norm.

At least CAD$90 vs US$80 means that for “maximum savings” the sticker price for the phone itself (don’t even get me started on the crappy choice of plans) is ok once the exchange rate is factored in.

I think the phone has an amazing design! I don't think it's hideous. One day whenI went to a Rogers Wireless Store (Yes I live in Canada) I saw the phone and fell in love with the design!Scince then I've been nagging my parents to get me it for Christmas.
