i read on twitter (@cybette) that this phone has a CAPACITIVE touchscreen. Is that true?
  • sorr
    FM Transmitter?
  • krisq
    That's true. It is capacitive.
  • Yes, it's capacitive, though to be honest, with a room full of bloggers, we weren't able to really tell a difference between it and the N97/N900s we had - we had to get Nokia to confirm it, which says alot about the whole capacitive/resistive argument, IMO.

Capacitive & resistive makes no difference... actually resistive is better because you can use a stylus.

It's the software and UI that really determines the user experience..

People wake up... you are fooled that capacitive is better because apple have better software on their capacitive screen iphone.

    WAKE UP! WAKE UP!

Yes, seemingly nice phone and a new line of seemingly music oriented phones by nokia. Do have an article on your thoughts and feelings on this when you come back!

is it possible to widget-ise the homescreen on x6 like its available on n97/n97 mini?...
  • Nick
I think that multitouch is more important than capaitive since it would allow faster (much faster) texting on a full qwerty. THAT's what I'd like to see. In fact, resistive might actually have some ADVANTAGES over capacitive for browsing and hitting small links.... but that all depends, as others have said, on the software / UI. If implemented well, capacitive would be very nice. If not implemented well, it might be worse. I DO like glass screens, though, since they clean up much nicer. :)
