Ovi Suite is the culmination of all Nokia’s various PC Suites into a single application, with close ties to various Ovi services, such as Ovi Maps, Ovi Share, etc. The application has been in beta for quite a while now, recently growing up to Beta v2.0, with the ability to install applications onto your phone. Today, the team announced a new version, with specific attention paid to the photo sync feature, as well as other bugs and stability issues.
If you’re brave, you can download the new Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta from the Nokia Beta Labs. Keep in mind, this is a beta, and thus is not ready for full-fledged use. You will encounter issues, and the Beta Labs team would definitely appreciate if you could report those bugs in the Beta Labs forum, so they can document and address them.

While I have Ovi Suite 2.0 installed on my Asus 1000HE netbook, on my production machine, I’m sticking with plain-jane Nokia PC Suite. It’s rock solid, doesn’t crash, and is laden with features that the Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta still dreams of. What are you using? Do you like the media-centric features of the Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta, or do you prefer the functionality of the vanilla PC Suite?
