Stolen in 60 Seconds is a new game from Herocraft. In this game you play as a mastermind in which you hire people to do your dirty work.
Released for Symbian-powered handsets running the S60 5th Edition it brings simple gameplay by utilizing the touch screen to do jobs that only gangsters can. You can choose from bombs, hammer and the never dying crowbar just to name some few tools to aid you in completing the task. By planning beforehand, you avoid getting caught and the reward is jewelery and money.
As you can see from the screenshots, this game combines the genre of strategy and puzzle into a mix of action packed gameplay. With catchy music this is a game you can play and then easily put away.
On trying the game myself I found out that it doesn’t support the landscape mode of the N97 and as such it can only be played in portrait mode. Further I found the buttons on the top to be a little too small to be finger friendly and I had to use the stylus to press those. I also found the game mechanism to be a little non-responsive on the touch side and had to keep my finger or stylus pressed for it to recognize the touches. Things are not exactly stolen in 60 seconds and the people you hire are stupid. (You can’t make them go pass each other when they meet.)
Besides such flaws the game has nice music to it even when it’s only in the midi-like department. Personally i find Stolen In 60 Seconds amusing, but not overwhelming. It is available now from Herocraft, so if you tried it, do you care to share your thoughts?
