Support the IMDB idea on Symbian foundation site, maybe they'll make it happen. http://bit.ly/7VcJ6U

Excellent find! It does load the poster and show the user rating, which is great! And it seems more lightweight than the glorified iPhone apps. Thanks for the link, I'll be using it until we get a true app with a History and Favorites sections :D

I use the following website:
http://www.mdog.com/bookmarks/imdb/htmlsite/

You have to go through 2-3 links to get to the movie data, but it does seem to show all the relevant info and functionality that you describe above. Maybe not quite as pretty as the true website, but a bit nicer than the screenshots you show above. It also seems to load pretty fast using the native S60 browser on my N82 (via wifi).

having an idea for developers challenge too
I have a symbian phone ... And i want to send a file from the phone to someone on the internet ... And as far as i know there is no single way to do so!
You can't attach the file via nokia email it always gives me too big file size error! Although the file is just less than 5MB, well is 5MB too big these days?
2nd there is no app to do direct sync which could be brilliant ( think Dropbox)
So Mr. Guru what do you think?
