The developer with alias Bergamot, behind the synchronization application Swim has released a prototype of a new application for multimedia purposes. Based on the headphone daemon for Maemo and how Android works, For Your Ears Only is a small application that is both simple to use and powerful in it’s function.
Have you ever been listening to music from your Symbian-powered handset and accidentally pulled out the headphones? I know I have and it usually takes a couple of seconds before you get to pause/stop the music. In the meantime people around you gazes at you. (Either of surprise or dismay).
With For Your Ears Only you no longer need to be afraid of listening to T.A.T.U, DJ Alligator or East 17.
All you have to do is install the application, start it and let it run in the background. You can now be confident with pulling out the headset as many times as you want. The result is that the music will stop when it detects that no headset is connected. Combine the application with Music Stopper and you have the perfect combo to control your own audio listening.
The application is unfortunately only available for phones running S60 5th Edition and it’s guaranteed to work on the 5800. For more information about this application and download check out Bergamot (Where you can find other neat applications).
Is For Your Ears Only something you’ve been missing on the Symbian-powered handsets?
