that has got to be one of the nicest looking feature phones i've ever seen. all aluminum, all one homogenous exterior? excellent.

Looks good. I like the fact that the 3 FP2 phones have some of the eye candy (the new contacts bar) of Symbian^1.
  • Oh crap! Finally a device I can recommend that has the features and the looks :)
  • Haha, I read a short article about this earlier today. Regardless of the actual text in the article or the interface in the photo, the second I saw "6700 Slide" in the title my brain just said "S40." It wasn't until I saw it here that I noticed the very prominent "3rd Edition Feature Pack 2." I had just gotten use to the fact that Nokia was reusing several year old model numbers. But I think this is the first time they have built a "Classic" and a "Slide" (or "Fold" or "Supernova"...) and used different interfaces in each one. Every reused model number in recent years has been S40, save for the 6120 Classic, which did not have a sister phone. Just when you think you understand Nokia's naming scheme, they throw out a curveball like this :)

Well, maybe it isn´t named bad at all. Didn´t Nokia talking about getting symbian to low cost phones and maemo to the advanced smartphones? Maybe their first step to say goodbye s40 for the mid-range phone and welcome s60.... just a thought.

I actually wouldn't mind having one of these myself, though only if it had wifi connectivity.
