Epocware, the developer behind applications such as Handy Shell and Handy Weather have just released a new application dubbed the Handy PhoneGuard.
Being a security application, the Handy part plays in when with the help of one user chosen password, it lets you protect several parts of your Symbian-powered handsets. Here you can choose which stored data on your phone as well as applications should be protected from unauthorized usage. Not only locally does it protect you from security threats, but should you lose your phone you can send an SMS to remotely lock or wipe all of the content of your handset.
Available for Symbian-powered handsets running the 3rd and 5th edition of Symbian, Handy PhoneGuard provides security you can rely on for only $19.95. The application is available from the Symbian-guru Store, where you can download a trial before deciding whether or not you’d like to buy it.
Many applications already have password protection such as X-plore and Profimail. Do you see this new addition of software as useful or do you find such applications a hassle to use?
