If you ask me about the game that I’ve played and enjoyed the most in the past 3 years, I wouldn’t have to think about it twice: it’s Sky Force Reloaded by Infinite Dreams. I clearly remember skipping studying for my Pharmacy exams and hammering my Nokia 3250′s keypad while playing it, getting annoyed when I lost a round and super excited when I won one. I also remember that the difficulty of the game rose quite quickly and the last few levels were seriously challenging.
Skyforce Reloaded recently became available for Symbian^1 and is one of a now-growing category of native Symbian games engineered for touch screens. Ewan Spence on AllAboutSymbian has taken the game for a spin and came out pretty impressed. This new versions allows you to choose between two different control methods for your ship: either by touching the screen or by using the accelerometer to tilt your device, the second method being a bit less accurate. You can head over to AAS to read what Ewan has to say about the game, as well as download a free trial from the Ovi Store or buy the full game for 5EUR.
I’ll be downloading the trial very soon to test it on my 5530 XpressMusic, and lighting candles so that all the other Infinite Dreams games get ported to S60 5th Edition soon (K-Rally and Super Miners come to mind), and maybe the rest of my 15 all-time favorite Symbian games can follow.
