It really makes you wonder… With all the millions of 5800's out there and soon to be millions of pseudo-5800's worldwide, just how low has Nokia gotten the manufacturing cost per unit? I mean think about it. The 5800's LCD and digitizer are used in four seperate models. All of those models share the same minor components and practically the same housing. I'm certain the boards are all nearly identical save for a few changes (lack of 3G.) At this point, the 5800 and it's siblings must be the most profitable smartphones Nokia has sold in years.

It was $250 at the end of November on Amazon. $50 off, so I got it for $200.00. Sweet deal!

The Nokia USA website lists the 5800 Navigation Edition as 850/1900 3G only in Brazil/Latin America (900/2100 for the rest). What's the deal with that?

Don't worry, I seriously doubt Nokia will release a 900/2100 MHz 3G version North America, especially not when a 850/1900 MHz version already exists. Nokia is known for copying information from one regional site to another. The specifications page on the USA site was likely just copied from the UK site and they forgot to fix the frequencies.
