I'd love to get X6 for my wife, but don't know if I'll be able to get a decent price for it in Canada… as for myself, still can't decide whether I want the mini or the E72… any recommendations?

    E72 over mini any day…..

E72 seems to be the best of this bunch

My “Mini” I got it right after owning the N97 and like it so much better I will no longer put N97 in front of it!

Is it just me or has the Symbian world been really slow lately?

Well I wouldn't purchase it for myself I am excited at the release of the X6 since it signals Nokia's (very slow) transition into finger optimized touch screens. There are a few disadvantages to going with capacitive vs. resistive, but I think most would agree that capacitive screens offer a more fluid method of user input. This will become even more important as Nokia transitions (very slowly) to updated, more finger friendly UI's in future Symbian releases.

On a related note, finally users will be able to enjoy Nokia's brilliant nHD displays without a disgusting layer of plastic obstructing their view!

I have the N97 so I would not get the N97 mini. E72 is really elegant. I am thinking of replacing my E75 with it. The guys over at Gsmarena state Blackberry Bold 9700 has a better trackpad than E72.
I believe X6 should have been Nokia's first touchscreen device. But Nokia has populated its touchscreen phones very brilliantly. 5230, 5530, 5800 then X6, N97 and mini. There are lots of options. And all are practical options unlike other brands (Samsung anybody) who just crowd their portfolio with similar looking similar spec'd devices!
    Cheers
