SlideIT is an application that has been available for Windows Mobile handsets for some time but Daisur, the company behind the product, have now launched their leading software to the Symbian platform.
The application tends to aid in the typing experience on Symbian-powered handsets with a touch screen. With features like gesture control, automatic spelling correction (online and offline), adaptive texting and shortcuts, this looks like a good addition to your phone and worth a try.

All you need to do to get the application is to head over to their download page and fill in the details. The application supports all of Nokias touch enabled handsets such as the N97 mini, X6 and the 5230. Spelling correction for English is included in the application and a total of 13 other language packs can be downloaded for free. Unfortunately no Asian languages is available. For those concerned about privacy issues, they do ask you to provide your IMEI number.
