    OMG, I haven't seen that many options since I tried JBakTaskman!

    You could configure an entire Mail for Exchange profile and encounter less settings!

    How many N97 screenshots did you have to stitch together to form that image!?!?

    Imagine if they were 3rd Edition screenshots :)

    Good thing you have kinetic scrolling!

    Ok I'm out of one-liners :)

    Believe that's 4 screenshots stitched together. :) While I would agree it could use a bit more organization, I rather like that you can change *anything* without having to navigate several different submenus. I didn't click the 'Restore Defaults' button, but I would like to think it has a confirmation dialog before it actually makes any changes.

    Excellent post. Very useful. Thanks.

    ComingNext ist THE calendar widget for the N97. That's how a widget should be, not the default Nokia crap. I prefer the previous version because it opens the calendar when you click it on the home screen, the now released version first opens an overview, and you need 2 more clicks to open the calendar. Not useful to me.

    Unpack comingNext.wgz and replace this in index.html:

    mode = 1;
    cacheEntriesHtml = '';
    document.getElementById('body').style.backgroundImage = “”;
    showFullscreen();

    with this:

    launchCalendar();

    Ooooh, now this looks nice. Downloading now…

    Nice widget. There’s an additional background color on it. The S60 Browser and Widget do support the CSS color:transparent property, but doing so shows a white background when I use that code. Not a major bad thing, but just something which could possibly have another setting or two in there to correct. One can’t make the background “transparent” and then the font setting “white” until this is is addressed though.

    I love that just knowing CSS enables items to be edited here. That part just rocks. For example, did a display:none in the line for the icon size and boom, no icons. Nice and lovely there. Will need to see how much CSS3 I could use in there as appending things like the location with better formatting could be nicer to view in fullscreen.

    Changing the size of the icons doesn’t just change it on the fullscreen, but also on the homescreen (maybe another setting for each pane as on fullscreen 15×15 is just too small). Text doesn’t wrap properly on the fullscreen (is there a no-wrap property in there somewhere that can edit this).

    There are a lot of settings, and its logical for the most part. I wonder if there’s a way to group these better. I started looking at widgets/WRT this weekend, and this might play as helping me in this respect.

    Very good work to the original developer and the person who extended this project. Maybe I should have asked this person about the widget aspect of my Active Bookmarks idea over at ideas.symbian.

    For those looking to make the fullscreen view a little prettier (but the homescreen not so), add these properties for the setting item “desctiption”: white-space:normal; text-wrap: normal; display:block;

    This will cause your description field to wrap properly in fullscreen mode. However, this will also alter the appearance of your homescreen.

    Unfortunately, the developer used tables in designing this and so things are a lot more rigid than they probably need to be. The fullscreen and homescreen need to be seperated a level more in the CSS so that properties can be assigned to both individually.

    Am I the only one that has problems with ComingNext widget? It shows all of my 'todo tasks' that are on my phone whether they have been marked as done or not, completely useless.

  • Ronald

    wish there was something like this for my nokia e71! grrr

  • http://krisq.openid.pl/ krisq

    A bug in WRT engine. Nokia needs to correct it. Nothing we can do about it :(

  • KevinM2k

    Is there anyway i can get around this, as I would like to use this widget rather then the built in one. Is there something I would need to avoid doing?

  • http://www.rickycadden.com Ricky Cadden

    I had the same issue, but I was able to mark them all as done and get them to not show.

  • KevinM2k

    I have like 60 to do items, all are marked done apart from like 4, but the widget shows random todo items, done or not. Im thinking of actually deleting rather then marking as done, but thats not exactly what i wanna have to do each time I mark a job as done.

  • KevinM2k

    Ive just reloaded widget, its now telling me I have a todo item tomorrow… which was actually set for 05/01/2009 so it doesn't seem to be picking up that it was last year… and it was marked as done :(

  • http://krisq.openid.pl/ krisq

    Nope, I'm afraid there is no way :(. It's bugging me too, believe me. Author of the plugin was trying a few things but to no avail. API just doesn't return the status of ToDos.
    Let's hope Nokia will fix this in the rumoured v2.1 update. Also, I recommend you to follow the topic on Symbian Freak to stay up-to-date with the development.

  • http://krisq.openid.pl/ krisq

    Check above. It's a bug in WRT engine. Doesn't return the status of ToDos correctly.

  • daClaus

    That didn't work.
    When I replace the whole “mode = 1;
    cacheEntriesHtml = '';
    document.getElementById('body').style.backgroundImage = “”;
    showFullscreen();” part with “launchCalendar();” the calendar doesn't close on Exit. The ComingNext overview screen pops up for a second and I'm back in the calendar, again and again.

  • Mike

    Anyone try this on the Nokia E72? This is the software that i'm looking for my Nokia E72, just like WM!

  • naypalm

    coolest widget of 2010!

  • http://twitter.com/aditya_shah Aditya Shah

    Superb Widget. One of the best of the lot.

    I followed the advice for faking its transparency and have got it working on my N97 Mini.

    Although when I use a theme which has a White background, like the Nseries 3 theme, I am not able to read the text as it is also in White.

    Is there a way to change the same ? I didn't find any such option in the settings.
    Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks.
