We’re big fans of Wikipedia, but unfortunately, the site doesn’t always display properly on our Symbian-powered smartphones, even the updated touchscreen devices like the Nokia N97. Fortunately, someone raised this issue over a the Symbian Ideas site, and the idea was so well-liked, it became reality.
Today, the Symbian Foundation pointed out the availability of an alpha version of the Wikipedia widget that makes it much easier to navigate around Wikipedia on your phone. You can see in this screenshot that you get a simple search field, along with the option to search full text or just the entry titles. A quick search for ‘Symbian’ took me to the page showing all manner of information about the Symbian Foundation, properly formatted to fit my screen without unnecessary formatting.
You can download the widget here, but keep in mind it is an alpha, and might have a few bugs here and there.

Thanks for letting us know about this cool app, can't wait to try it on my 5800 and N97.
What did you use to make the post on your N97?
at last there is a wikipedia app/widget. Thats good. I hope they release a final version soon.
Cheers
Why not surf to http://en.m.wikipedia.org/ and use their easy to navigate lightweight mobile interface?
good but would be better if it has a SAVE option
