Dotsisx and I were recently discussing how solid of an experience Nokia Messaging has become – in fact, for the first time we can remember, we’re both having a solid experience with it across all of our phones, and at the same time. Normally, either everything works for me and nothing works for Dotsisx, or vice versa. However, our friends at The Prodigal Fool have apparently had a consistently poor experience, and reached out to the Nokia Messaging team to get some answers.
Davis Fields, somewhat of an unofficial public spokesperson for Nokia Messaging, agreed to answer a few questions from The Prodigal Fool about Nokia Messaging and the experience they’ve had. You can read through the entire interview here, and it’s worth a read, for sure.
While Nokia Messaging had a very rough start, rife with server outages, downtime, confusing registration process, and feature-poor installable clients, that’s certainly not the case any longer. I honestly don’t remember the last time that Nokia Messaging on my Symbian-powered stopped working, and even switching between 3-4 different phones on a daily basis, I’ve not had any issues lately with that, either.
Are you currently using Nokia Messaging on your phones? Have you noticed a significantly improved experience, as well? What other features would you like to see added to the experience? I personally would love if Nokia Messaging could tie in with Ovi Sync for a true full PIM solution.
