I really wonder how well it will be handled on the N97. I absolutely will get one as they come available. I´m using a Commuter one on my iPhone from time to time and must admit that those are the best cases ever made for phones. They fit and they really give you the feeling that your device is protected.

Btw, any reasons why i can´t login to my disqus profile anymore? :-(

As we spent the last week moving our store I've basically been playing construction worker at least ten hours per day. In dangerous situations like this I typically switch to using my Nokia 1208, but it's been really, really difficult using a phone with no web browser considering Comcast still hasn't hooked up our internet. I need to find either an older rugged S60 phone or something that Otterbox make a case for. The problem is that of the phones they build cases for, E63, E71/x, E72, N97, I would never want to put any of them in harms way. Even inside of such a well designed product, I doubt I could not be overprotective of my E71. I could use my 3620 or N70, or N73 but I just put new housings and LCD's in them for the expressed purpose of keeping them in perfect condition. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with my 1208. At least by now I know it can survive multiple above-head drops onto concrete :) On a more related note…

Ricky, I was curious so I checked my distributor's site and they list the expected availability of the N97 Otterbox Commuter case as 3/4. If this is true than Otterbox isn't working on an N97 case, it's ready. They just need to produce enough quantity to ship.

I actually got an email later this morning letting me know the N97 case is ready. Will do some more investigating, maybe I can get one to review when my N97 gets back from repair

How much bulk does this case (the commuter) add to the Nokia 5800? I ordered an epik case from dc mugen off ebay. I want some protection, but I like my phones as small and light as possible.

I've owned a 5800Xm for 1 year and it remains in perfect condition since I've used both a screen protector and silicone sleeve from the start. I just installed the Otter Box Commuter and it really makes a positive impact. Like a new phone again. It's not bulky but still robust. The polycarbonate feels good in the hand. The phone feels solid with this accessory installed. The design around buttons, the slide lock, and other elements of the 5800XM are very well done. I'm quite pleased with this product.
