Can you use the green talk button to send a message, or do you still need to go to options and hit send?

  • http://www.rickycadden.com Ricky Cadden

Just confirmed the green talk button works

  • Fai

Ignoring the cost, does anyone know what the pros and cons are versus ThreadSMS?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=196603852 facebook-196603852

Sweet. That was my main reason for not liking the free version of iSms

  • krisq

Great news! I love Free iSMS but the price is a little steep and whole operation looks a little shady. I'll wait for OVI Store release.

  • http://www.rickycadden.com Ricky Cadden

Agreed on both counts – the price was actually $8 until the day before we published this, which kinda stinks for you guys (sorry). The purchase process *is* indeed a bit shady. As mentioned, I'd *love* to see this either available in the Ovi Store or implemented directly into Symbian^x.

Hi I really love this app, but one annoying problem i’m having is that on a top line of a bubbled txt the the f looks like a t, any idea how to fix this? I have v1.08. Thanks

  • krisq

Test some various combinations of font sizes. You'll find the sweet spot.

  • ian

@Krisq cheers mate, fixed it after a bit of mucking about, v1.08 has a main label voffset setting, flicking it to a value of 2 fixed it brilliantly, love this app.

  • Daniel

    Will the 1.08 version work with S60v3 as well? I don’t have a S60v5 phone =O.

  • awesomo

Wow.. USD12 plus I have to give away my IMEI? What happens if I change phones? I'll need to re-purchase? Geez, no thanks. I'll stick with the free version

  • http://www.rickycadden.com Ricky Cadden

That's why the author still offers the free version – it's limited in features, but some people may prefer using it. It *might* be possible to get him to transfer your license if you change phones, I honestly don't know.

Me personally, I'm willing to pay for the enhanced interface and included MMS support.

    worked on the e71

So does this app now override the message notification? Or, is it still that messy handling of dismissing the notification and then going into iSMS to read?

The cost seems a bit much, and at the same time, I've not played with it in a while, so it might be worth it.

  • angel

works on my n97 mini as well…

  • Jay Wykle

They should take the “Free” out of the name if you have to pay for it.

  • dyelen

Have purchased the program from the site directly – thank you. Are you using it? On my E72, have noticed for the multiple scheduled sms, they are left unsent in the outbox. Is it me, or is there a workaround? Thanks.

  • WJQ

you can use green talk button to send

  • Dyelen

Have just downloaded the upgraded 1.09 alpha. Scheduled multiple sms now works fine. Kudos to the developer. Here's the link: http://www.gczm.net.cn/

  • Juan

You forgot one nice 1.08 addition and is the iPhone style new SMS pop up (make obsolete sms preview for instance). Also funny thing is that at the pay moment you have the option 8 DOLLARS or 8 EUROS, so if you choose 8 Dollars this will be the price.

  • James

I use threadsms (from the ovi store) and it doesn't support mms….

I have upgraded to v 1.09 just a few days ago and I can state that this app has really improved all around. I use E71/73 and the fist thing I have notices is that kinetic scrolling has improved significantly. Also, there are improvemnts in all departments. It is full-featured SMS/MMS client well integrated withing UI layer. I have not came across a better threaded SMS client. It still shocks me how one developer can create such a awesome app while company like NOKIA can not even get close to it. This is what stock Nokia messaging app should look like.

Free-iSMS is still under development. Current version is 1.10. There are now 2 tiers of the app – free & VIP (paid)

    Free-iSMS link here: http://www.gczm.net.cn

    Hope this helps.
