    “infamous” ?

Perhaps for those who have had bad luck with Opera is it infamous. Personally, I love Opera Mini on my Nokia.

Although I've been using Opera 10 mini & mobile, they didn't become useful until Opera Link was added. Now, I can't live without them. Just wish I could make them my default for all calls to web on my phone.

Must say installed the new version on my N97 this morning and now my phone is dead. After installing it my phone started intermittently rebooting itself (something it has never done previuosly) and the battery power indicator kept dropping and within three hours, when I uninstalled Opera 10 and turned my phone off it would not turn back on again. Need to power it up this evening and see if it behaves any better post uninstall.

BTW Alie Tan has also released an Update for Active File from v1.43.2 to v1.44, which seems to have gone under the radar so far. http://www.alietan.com.

Works perfectly and blazingly fast in the 'Turbo' mode on my E71 and the interface makes it an absolutely gorgeous piece of software.

I regretted the upgrade of #Opera Mobile 10 (stable). It doesn't allow disabling of inline editing, so I couldn't copy/paste URLs into it. The previous Beta version had this feature and now it has been taken out!

I doubt that it have something with the new version of the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini webbrowser.
I've both had the previous versions and updated to the latest final version without any errors.

If you are able to start Opera Mobile / Mini you can tweak the settings by typing in
    about:config on the address bar.
You will be able to access many settings and tweak Opera to your choice that way

You can tweak the setting in Opera Mobile / Mini by typing in
    about:config on the address bar.
There are a lot of settings there in which you can tweak to suit your need.

For those of you who have trouble with Opera Mobile / Mini
You can tweak the more advanced settings in the application by typing in
    about:config in the addressbar

For an explaination for some of the setting head over to Opera Settings File Explained (The guide is meant for Mac, but works mostly the same way for PC as well as the Symbian version)

I was surprised. Alredy set that up as a fastdial, but post uninstall my phone has not crashed again. The weird thing was Opera was not operating at the time unless it was some background precesses that run.

Anyway as I say Opera installed = random reboots and Opera uninstalled = reboots stoppped.

    Worked fine in my N97
    (PC: 0586706 FW:21.0.0.45)

I did one previous time install the APAC version of Opera Mobile, but as I saw no significant differences (I use custom fonts for more language support) I installed the International version over it again.
I shouldn't in theory make no difference, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Can't remember using it, but I do agree that it makes it even more useful.
I remember having synchronized some bookmarks in Opera Mini 4, but either I've forgotten my credentials or Opera Link is something different. (Most likely I've forgotten the credentials)

You might want to check out Opera Link again. If you use multiple devices (which I know you do!) it is really handy. It's even great just for upgrading, as I've seen my preferences disappear on upgrades. But with OL, they come right back!

And, it syncs with your desktop, which is even better. Now, you can manage marks at your computer, and have them show up on your phone next time you fire it up!

On my E71, I had mixed results with the prior betas but I find this final release rock solid! It's not perfect, but it does crash like the default browser and is a lot faster.

For a while now, i've been looking to replace the S60 browser, but the only think holding me up was lack of an RSS reader in Skyfire or Opera. But after reading a tip from Symbian-Guru, I started using the iPhone page for Google Reader. After about 20 min, I was able to copy all of my RSS feeds (who said that you can't copy and paste url?) and the experience is great! No longer do I need to have my browser refresh the feeds every hour, I have Google do it.. And I don't need to be annoyed at not being able to export my feeds anymore. Switching to Opera with the iPhone Reader page solved two problems at once. http://www.google.com/reader/i is the link btw.

I wish that it had smarter zoom like Skyfire and a few other things, but as of now, it's fully replaced my browser. Being able to turn Turbo on and off is like having two browsers in one.
