Time Zone Update For N97 Available Via SW Update

Sometimes while new features and some fixes are added into new firmwares, others are left out. In regards to time zones, this have been a minor issue amongst people living in major cities. For people living in smaller cities however, this have been a more frequent problem.

Some have tended to switch their timezone to other timezones to match up the correct time. Others have been missing this update very much.

To get this update just fire up the Software Updater on your N97 and you’ll be able to see it and mark it for download. The application size is 16 kb and no restart is required after installing it. After install no noticeable changes was discovered from my part, neither did I have the problem to start with. Still we’ll always recommend users to update their software to the latest versions.

    I can tell you this little update fixes the timezones so we get the correct, non daylight savings time for Perth, Australia.

    Great to hear, and I'm glad that Nokia have pushed this update out.
    I've read about that daylight savings time, actually had it jump out of time ones also.

    Yet another update that does not appear on Vodafeon UK branded handsets. Let's just add this to the list. Been speaking with Vodafone about this for months now and at least they actually acknowledged as a fault towards the end of last week. They are blaming it on Nokia and say they are going to chase Nokia on the missing applications in Software Update. Will continue to post on twitter when I get an update from Vodafone.     I never saw this update for my N97, and am rolling along with an issue of a reoccuring appointment having shifted 2hrs since the time change this weekend. I think I see why this happens, but its not fun to have to go back and redo appointments because of it.
