Nokia announced the N97 Mini Gold Edition quite a while ago, so I was surprised it took this long for an unboxing video to pop up. Aside from the exterior and in-box accessories, the N97 Mini Gold Edition is the same as the non-gold edition - tilt-up display with full QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen, 8GB of internal storage, etc. Test-Mobile.fr has gotten ahold of a unit for review - you can read their thoughts here (in French).
The included accessories basically cancel each other out. On the plus side, there’s apparently a really nice white leather pouch with gold accents - a great touch from Nokia’s awesome but underused accessories team. Unfortunately, the fail comes in the form of a stylus-dongle-thingamajig. First off, the N97 Mini doesn’t need a stylus for anything. Second, the stylus looks like a shortened icicle, and I can only imagine trying to hold the thing and use it properly.
In any case, take a seat and make sure your lunch has settled properly before you watch the video - this guy/gal needs a tripod, pronto.
