There are many filemanagers out there and among the more popular ones are Active File by Alie Tan, Fexplorer and my favorite X-plore.
Besides supporting the phone theme providing the application with an unified look with the rest of your handset, it also has features such as setting up shortcuts to folders you frequently access. Another option is the ability to set a particular application to run by file association.
Despite being my favorite, one of the more annoying thing in this file manager has been the lack of setting attributes on multiple files. Because I don’t want to display all the album arts in my gallery I have to set the attributes of the pictures to hidden by doing it one by one.
But not anymore, with the new version of X-plore this has been added to the features of this application and you can now even delete read-only files, something other file managers have had for some time. Other than that, there are some bug fixes such as having the correct date when copying files.
Besides, as far as I know, X-plore and Active File are the only file managers out there that let me browse files while installing an application. Now that X-plore is up to par with Active File in terms of functions it makes me stick to it more.
You can download the latest version from within X-plore if you already have the application installed or you can head over to Lonely Cat Games to download the new version. Application is available for S60 3rd and 5th edition handsets where the free version has a nagscreen and the paid version does not. After installing the new version you might have to connect to the net to verify that you have a legal copy.
Are you still using the free version of X-plore or have you purchased the application?
