Nokia holds a junkload of competitions around their new devices and services. In fact, at any given moment, there’s probably at least 2 or 3 fun competitions you can enter to win cool Nokia devices and other stuff. One such competition that started not too long ago is centered around the recently-announced Nokia E73 Mode for T-Mobile USA.
So, how can you win your very own Nokia E73 Mode from Nokia? Over at the Ovi Blog, they’re hosting a scavenger huntwhere you must collect hints and email the answer using an Ovi Mail email account. They’re only up to number 7 out of 10, so you’ve still got time to catch up and get yourself entered.
Contest aside, the Nokia E73 Mode is actually a pretty big deal for a few reasons:
1. It’s one of few Nokia devices that support T-Mobile’s wonky 3G network
2. It’s the first Symbian-powered smartphone to support UMA. This lets the phone automatically and seamlessly transfer calls between T-Mobile’s cellular network and a WiFi hotspot, and is an awesome way you can easily increase your coverage or signal strength at home.
3. It’s loaded to the hilt with Nokia’s Ovi services, including Ovi Maps with free voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, Ovi Store, Nokia Messaging, and more. AT&T has a habit of stripping these services out of its Symbian-powered smartphones, so I’m glad to see T-Mobile embracing it.
If you don’t live in the U.S, you’ll also have the opportunity to win a different phone, such as the Nokia E72. I wonder if you could also choose that if you live in the U.S. but don’t have T-Mobile? Guess we’ll have to find out!
